"FAUX FINISHES"
The Jim & Paula Davy Estate
August, '99
Roseville, California
The clients of this large home in Roseville California
wanted something interesting done with this large,
supporting pillar in the front entryway of thier new home.
I suggested faux finishing it to look like it was made of marble
Please click on a thumbnail image to see it larger
"First step was to pre-finish the surface with a coating of fixall to make it smoother than the surface of the surrounding walls"
"The pillar is then sanded to make it as smooth as possible"
"After a base coat of off white paint the faux painting begins"
